EcomNix AI Technologies ("EcomNix", "we", "us", or "our") operates the EcomNix platform — a multi-merchant e-commerce service that allows individuals and businesses to create online stores and sell products.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to everyone who interacts with EcomNix — whether you are a merchant running a store or a customer making a purchase.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as government ID numbers, biometric data, or financial account details beyond what merchants voluntarily enter for their payment gateway configuration.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

To create and manage merchant accounts and their associated stores
To process and record customer orders placed through merchant storefronts
To send transactional emails — such as order confirmations and payment notifications
To enable merchants to view and manage their customer orders through the dashboard
To track store visit statistics so merchants can monitor their store performance
To investigate reports filed against stores and take appropriate action
To communicate important platform updates or policy changes to merchants

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the platform.

4. Who Can See Your Data

Merchants can see the name, email, phone number, shipping address, and order details of customers who purchase from their store. This is necessary for them to fulfil orders.

EcomNix platform admins have access to all data on the platform for the purpose of managing the service, resolving disputes, and investigating reports.

Third parties — We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for their own commercial purposes. Payment gateway providers (such as Paystack or Revelon) process payment transactions independently under their own privacy policies; EcomNix does not have access to your payment card or bank details.

5. Data We Do Not Sell

EcomNix AI Technologies does not sell, rent, or trade personal data belonging to merchants or customers to any third party under any circumstances. Your data is used solely to operate this platform and will never be monetised.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If a merchant closes their account, their store data and associated customer order records will be retained for a reasonable period before deletion, unless a shorter retention period is requested.

Customers who place orders without creating an account have their data retained for as long as the merchant account remains active, after which it may be deleted.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and restricted admin access.

However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
Deletion — request that your personal data be deleted, subject to any legal or operational obligations we may have to retain it
Objection — object to how we process your data in certain circumstances

9. Children's Privacy

EcomNix is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Merchants will be notified of significant updates by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
